Uciel Alvarez, a striker at the Han Young factory and member of the independent October 6 union, moments after he and other strikers and supporters were beaten and expelled from a meeting organized by the Mexican government to discuss their right to form independent unions. Alvarez, who suffered facial cuts and bruises over his body, stands outside the doors of the swanky Camino Real.
