19 Julio Ramirez Watsonville Julio Ramirez talks to a strawberry worker in the fields of the Gargiulo Corp. Ramirez is a lettuce cutter, and has been a UFW member for over 30 years. When the big Watsonville organizing campaign started in 1996, he took a leave from his job to work fulltime as an organizer during the strawberry harvest.
