Immigrants

32 Judith Viera
Judith Viera, a young garment worker from El Salvador, and Claudia Molina, from Honduras (at the other end of the banner) protest the abuse of workers in the sweatshops which produce clothing for The Gap in Central America. Through their efforts in exposing inhuman conditions and wages of misery, in cooperation with the National Labor Committee and supported by labor, church and community activists around the country, they convinced The Gap to agree to independent human rights monitoring of conditions in its Central American maquiladoras.
